I can’t say enough positive things about the Hygee House and Lee. The pictures are extremely accurate, however, you don’t get the true appreciation until you walk in. This property exceeded our expectations, how often does that happen!? Plus it smelled amazing in the house, I’m getting one of those diffusers!!
The views, all the thoughtful touches, and the technology in the home. You have the tranquillity of the lake, but all of the modern conveniences. Plus there are all these extra spaces, the porch, the deck, the hot tub, the sectional on the dock. A fire pit is in the making, we didn’t get to hang out there, but we will def be back!! We used the Blackstone for every meal practically, including sweet cream banana pancakes our last morning.
Close to groceries, 35 min to Helen (we went there for a couple hours). There is a creamery near by as well as Tantrum Brewery which had great beer and food trucks. Perfect for kids to run around as they had a huge green space! Technically we didn’t want to leave the house, but we have been trying to get to Helen for 5+ years!
We had a nice relaxing weekend and made some great memories with our family and our friends. Thank you again for sharing your home and the wonderful hospitality!!

The Hygge House was the perfect retreat from our hectic city life. This house lives up to it's name - it is cozy, tranquil, and it offers many modern conveniences that made our stay feel easy and luxurious. The location is within a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and many outdoor attractions should you want to explore the area. The house was well stocked with everything we needed during our stay and Lee was the consummate host. He was responsive, prompt, welcoming, and he made getting acclimated with the home's features easy with a video guide. There are many thoughtful details throughout the house - a few of my favorites were:
- the essential oil diffuser that creates a zen-like vibe
- the soft comfortable bedding
- pre-programmed Alexa settings that controlled the lights
- board/card games
- the instant hot water dispenser at the sink so I could make a cup of tea in seconds!
There is so much more that I didn't mention but hands down this home was a piece of heaven on earth and my whole family enjoyed our stay.

Lees heavenly mountain home is absolutely stunning. Not only is the home designed and decorated with utmost care for the relaxation and quality time with family- the view kept us all mesmerized. My kids and I stayed at this home for 7 nights and it was such a special experience. The property is so beautiful with many indoor outdoor spaces to read, drink coffee and to connect with each other and nature. The game room was awesome for my kids to play for hours and hours. The pull down movie screen was an amazing addition- though we rarely watched any tv. The beds and lines were of utmost luxury- felt like a four seasons hotel. The kitchen is fully stocked and the outdoor kitchen was a dream to grill on. All in all-this was our 13th night end Airbnb and it was our favorite. The attention to detail and attention to providing an immersive experience to allow connection to self, nature and the people you are with is what makes this a 5 star property- we are already planning on coming back!

Lux SkyHaüs is a truly special property that strikes the perfect balance between luxury, comfort, and relaxation. The home is beautifully designed, thoughtfully appointed, and offers wonderful spaces to gather while still allowing everyone room to retreat.
What truly sets this property apart are the outdoor living spaces and breathtaking views. They are unlike anything we've experienced! Whether enjoying morning coffee or relaxing together in the evening, the setting is simply spectacular.
Lee was a fantastic host, welcoming, attentive, and a pleasure to work with throughout our stay. It was the perfect setting for our corporate retreat, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The High House is such a special place - we had such an amazing time staying here!
It is an extremely cozy home that is beautifully designed - the back porch is simply to die for.
The High House has stunning views, is close to both downtown Highlands and Cashiers, and is a short walk to one of North Carolina’s most famous hikes, Whiteside Mountain.
We also loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the pans, dishes, and utensils we could want - we took advantage and made some delicious meals!
Lee was available throughout our stay and was a great host!
The only issue we had was that we had to leave - but we can’t wait to come back soon!

Lee's High House in Highlands, NC has magnificent mountain views coupled with a tastefully decorated three-bedroom house and a very well-appointed kitchen. It is less than a mile from some of the most magnificent hiking in NC on Whiteside Mountain, which has numerous majestic outlooks. High House's location between Highlands and Cashiers makes it equally convenient to visit, shop, and dine in both. My wife and I were struck by the attention to detail both in the house and in Lee's communications with us. We highly recommend this home, as well as Lee's hospitality, to anyone looking for a unique find in the Highlands/Cashiers area.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The property exceeded our expectations in every way. It was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and even more impressive in person than in the photos, which truly don’t do it justice. The furniture was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything we could possibly need. It’s clear that a great deal of thought and attention to detail went into making this home both beautiful and functional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to returning. We booked this gorgeous home for a long weekend and we were so glad we did! The house had everything you could want plus so many extras that made the weekend even better! The house is top quality and has been renovated to perfection. The views are incredible from every room, and sitting on the cozy furniture on the dock was heavenly!
We will definitely be booking this house again in the future. Our host, Lee, was the best! He lives nearby so if you find yourself needing anything he can pop over!

The Lux Skyhaus rises above and beyond expectations in every way, and that includes the breathtaking views from this home's rooms and decks. This house is designed in a way that flows effortlessly from room to room. If you have a larger group, no one will get the short straw when it comes to bedroom suites -- each one is a winner. Lee made everything easy from start to finish, and includes some extras that sets this one apart from the rest. Highest recommendation.

High House was perfect for cozy hangouts away from the bustle. The views from the house are spectacular, there are many thoughtful touches throughout for guests, and it slept everyone comfortably. The Whiteside Mountain trailhead is very close, and it’s a beautiful hike. We loved the fireplaces and cooking together, but nice restaurants are also a short drive away.
